England's Def Leppard are one of the most successful hard rock bands of all time. The band, whose career was plagued by death and tragedy, released their most successful record, HYSTERIA, in 1987. A worldwide phenomenon, the record sold more than 17 million copies and elevated the band to notoriety. In this episode of the CLASSIC ALBUMS series, the surviving members of Def Leppard discuss the making of HYSTERIA as they sort through and explain the original multi-track tapes. In addition, some impromptu acoustic performances and musical demonstrations further dissect this classic album.

  • jim steinman the guy who wrote for meat loaf in the lates 70's was a producer for def leppard for a short bit never knew that.

  • Cliff Brunstein is awsome the legendary man who singed the great band rush back in 1974

  • my favorite def lep album i mean pyromania is there best album but as far as song writing, production, maturety, complexity and everything else hysteria is as great as def leppard could get as far as Def Leppard could go as a band in there hey day you can't top hysteria they can't top Hysteria they can top pyromania but they can't top hysteria. hysteria simply a great album and there magnum opus.

  • @94whitecloud94 seriously i mean And Justice for All is so much better then the black album. i perfer the production and everything else on And Justice for all but that's just me.
