Soprano Simone Kermes sings Cleonice's aria "Manca sollecita" from the opera "Il Demetrio" by Leonardo Leo (1694-1744). "Il Demetrio" was given in December 1735 at the Teatro dell Castello in Torremaggiore. A track from Simone Kermes' latest CD "Lava", featuring opera arias from 18th century Naples written for the great castratos of the period. Simone is accompanied by Claudio Osele and his orchestra Le Musiche Nove playing on authentic instruments.

Thanks to this version by Simone Kermes, knew tha this poes of Metastasio inspired to others composers. Until now the only music I use sing was by Vaccaj, beauty also.
