10 Million Strong Petition Handover in Copenhagen

Young people from around the world hand over a petition of more than 10,000,000 people around the world to UNFCCC Executive Secretary Yvo de Boer and Danish Climate Minister and the President of COP15 Connie Hedegaard. Leah Wickham, from Fiji, will speak briefly on behalf of the 10 million people expecting a real deal at Copenhagen.

The youth representatives hand over a small construction of Danish LEGO blocks to Mr de Boer and Ms Hedegaard to ask them to foster the political will required at the talks to get the deal done. Young people led this hand over as a reminder that it is their future which will be affected by the outcome of this summit.

global warming is causing several damges to emerging countries.I live in Algeria and bielieve me dear if I say that the effects of climate change are here.Last year as for an example we haven't observe a transition between spring and summer .we have two seasons (fall winter) and then directly summer.The bees were Disorientated and the honey production fall 80 % off . and there are other incredible examples .Fortunately (unfortunately)our economy don't rely upon 'honey' but on oil and gas :( .

Well I know we never like to discuss it, as it is always considered a "taboo" subjectbut I believe the REAL issue we face is population. There are simply too many people on the planet, Quality of life will no doubt get worse in future for all of us unless we deal with this real problem.
