Pokémon D/P Hatching Eggs

Okay, I made this video for people that don't know much about hatching eggs. In this video, I'll demostrate how to hatch eggs faster then normal.

First of all it's obvious you need an egg. You can find the Daycare in Solecean Town. Now make sure you have a Pokémon in the first slot of your party with the ability Flame Body. Flame Body halves the time to hatch your eggs. For example if your egg need 4500 steps to hatch, it will take 2250 steps with Flame Body. Very handy indeed.

Pokémon with the Flame Body ability are; Magby, Magmar, Magmortar, Slugma & Marcargo. In this video I used Marcargo.

Now, when you received your egg in Solecean Town, you'll see that above and below the town are two routes.. take that route to make your steps with your bike in the faster mode. (As you can see in the video.)

You'll see that these two route have one straight line through Solecean. That is very handy because you don't have to stop, so you can ride in a straight line.

And then your Egg will hatch sooner then you think. My Egg hatched into Burmy.. Too bad it's male because I wanted a female.. ah well..

what pokemon did u use to get burmy? And how do u know if the day care is holding an egg in dp

@EVILCHEESE56 You can use Burmy, Mothim or Wormadam for getting this Pokémon in an Egg.

And you can see the day-care man looking in a different direction, that means he holds an Egg for you.

I have three questions:

1. How do I know that the daycare has an egg for me?

2. I heard that there's an 12.5% chance of hatching a Shiny Pokémon in an egg, is this true?

3. I read something in this comment section about a Bad egg. Can anyone tell me something more about this Bad egg ? :P

1. You can get an application for your Poketch, look it up on Serebii wich one.

2. Not at all.

3. You've only got a chance of a Bag Egg if you are using cheats or are using hacking through the game.

@RenamonDigivolved actually,its Flame Body and Magma Armor,not Flash Fire.

Finding Pokemon w/ Fash Fire can also speed up the process, like Flareon, Ponyta, Rapidash and others. burmy is pretty hard to find.

Tip: get a ditto on Route 218 using the Pokeradar after you complete the sinnoh pokedex on D/P. on Platinum, its in the trophy garden.
