  • Hi Could you show me how to fix the lights on the heli. with the details of all the parts so that I just need to look for similar, buy them and fix them as per your instructions

  • @btitus73

    hi,

i am sorry, these are standard 3mm LEDs, the flashing ones are special types with built in IC for the flashing feature... i bought these some years ago, sorry i do not have any specs.

all LEDs are soldered with appropriate resistors in parallel, wiring made with thin piano-wire. they are simply glued in holes which i drilled in the canopy.

this is not plug and play - you have to calculate correct resistor values and have to solder. do not shorten your lipo...may cause fire!

  • Hi vintageford,

Thats sleek men...awesome! How do installed the mechanics because I knew the fuselage was glued together when purchased new? Care to share to me? Thanks

  • @hoverpitch :

the fuselage canbe taken off after you remove the main rotor shaft. either remove the big gear(pin) and pull shaft up or remove alu rotor head (pin) and pull shaft down. you do not have to split the body but it is very tight. the more times you do it the faster you will get :-)

  • where can you buy that fuselage ? and does it fit on the stock 180Q ?

  • @LIQUIDXFX

pls. read below, answer already given.

    have fun!

  • Where did you buy the light kit and which one do you get?

  • Hi there. I have the same CB180Q Walkera Airwolf "Orange" and swapped it with the proper black/white Airwolf fuselage. The black/white fuselage is sold as a re-badged model called MadHawlk.

I planned on doing navigation lights on mine as well, but I got a set from TinyBright Lights and they didn't have the proper look to them so I never did the mods on mine. I'd like to know what light's you used. home made? Or kit?

  • Thanks Vintageford! Still waiting for my 180D to arrive while my mates fly their 100 and honey bees around. Now, I've gotta have lights like yours, it looks fantastic! So I'm gonna find out how easy you say easy is.

  • hi droop,

i was not able to get the orange body here in germany at that time... so i bought the airwolf coaxial body, which is somewhat similar, except the tail section and the top hole. it was some more work as i expected to adapt, but it was worth it.
