@indyracingnut Ain't that the truth.
-
The six wheels is after 1975,,,,
-
@snahnelom Young Vettel set the Monaco Pole lap Record this year.
Cars now are not as powerful as they were but they are very fast in other areas.
-
this is a brilliant clip, to see them cars again, being able to listen to them, it enuf to give u a hard on!
-
@vrrule In fact the most powerful and fast era of F1 was in the 80ths. The design of the aerodynamics, the turbo engines and the used under-pressure underneath the car by using the wing concept and skirts made them very fast (especially in the bends ) and unfortunately also very dangerous for the drivers. that is why this technology became forbidden and they banned the turbos and the wing-concept.

@indyracingnut You don't think it takes balls to drive around monaco in a modern F1 car? Today's F1 drivers are more skilled and a lot faster than the driver's of that era. Yes, those drivers may have driven in more dangerous conditions. But this was mostly due to their lack of knowledge of the sheer dangers involved. Put one of today's top F1 drivers in one of those cars and after a bit of practice they will easily be lapping faster than the drivers of that time ever could.

God bless Avon for giving the P34 new shoes for this race. It's nice to see this car racing.
-
have to give it to the guy in the brabham...great drive minus the spin.
-
This is completely weird. It's like looking at old 1970s film that someone has re-mastered. Fantastic!

I'm a little confused, The Tyrell six-wheeler was first used in 1976 through to 1977 right?? How come it's on this grid? Thanks.
