Epic . 1 Toyota . 5 people . 3,500km . 50,000 photos and half of Australia. Travel from Alice Springs to the Sunshine Coast in 24mins at full 30fps 1080HD all shot at 2k+ film quality on a Canon 5Dmk2 with original composed soundtrack. This is no grainy webcam timelapse to the shops, it's extreme, beautiful and hardcore.

Help me convince Google to upload it as a single 24min film by sharing far and wide. It is conditionally licensed under creative commons by Cy Starkman (video) and Anthea Eadan (audio). If you would like to use it or remix it for non-commercial works contact us via YouTube or Facebook.

There is a lot of hidden content, can you find the car accident, cows, roos and other moments on this 120:1 time compressed piece. Oh and just wait for the next one.

  • Awesome! What video make/model video camera are you using? Did it handle the time lapse for you or did you edit it afterwards?

  • Hi, sorry long reply, travelling back, filming, recovering.

No the camera didn't. It is a still camera, I have a remote timer. After the fact all the pictures are dealt with in software with minimal/no image processing, then compiled into a video - uncompressed YUV etc. Other layers n stuff added after and sn uncompressed master made. Encodes are off that for target output, like YouTube or whatever.

I'll make a more comprehensive workflow/making off for the next film I post. I'm in post pro.
