MBTA commuter train, Framingham-Worcester line, 4:36PM.

Some dumbass kids were going to cross the lowered gates, thinking they had enough room, until they saw how fast the train was moving. (The kids in Ashland really aren't that bright...)

  • to South or North Station?

  • @TrainSounds The Framingham-Worcester line is to South Station.

  • It seems Ashland sets their crossing bells so they always stop once the gates come all the way down. Where I live, the Middleboro/Lakeville line's crossings used to stop the bells once the gates were all the way down, then ring them once more as the gates rise. But for some reason, they recently reprogrammed them so the bells now ring the whole time the signals are active.

  • Huh, interesting. I know Framingham has the bells ring the entire time.

  • The kinds in Ashland are not bright I can tell by the area

  • I know from working in a restaurant in Ashland for 3.5 years, that Ashland kids are just plain stupid.

  • I hope they don't try that again.

  • The majority of the crossings in Stoughton are like that too, the bells ring the entire time. I prefer it when the crossing bells ring the entire time the lights are flashing, it seems more "classic" that way
