if many albertans do want the tar sands, their argument for it is always the same...jobs & the economy. i'm not sure, but i would like to think, that if these same people would learn the truth about the devastating environmental, social and health impacts of the tar sands & understand the motivation behind the p.r. propaganda of industry and the alberta/canadian governments, they would rally together and demand a cleaner more sustainable alternative in how albertans choose to get their energy.
