Rottweiler Cancer Jade 6 Weeks Post Amputation Tripod 3 Legged Dog

This is an update on Jade who is 6 weeks post amputation surgery due to canine bone cancer. She is excited with the spring weather and is doing exceptionally well. Jade has overcome many hurdles, but thankfully she is alive and still with us! She is in excellent health thus far and full of life! This video was made so that others facing the same dilema we had with regard to amputation can see how well there loving pets can adapt as tripod dogs. She is back to her old self in many aspects doing just about everything she did prior to surgery. She does have lazy days and can't quite go the distance she once did, but she is still building up her stanima along with healing. @86sheenz86 Jade had an accident a day after this video posted. She was down by the lake and some fishermen left some discarded line and hooks in the grass. One apparently had some appealing food still on it and jade swallowed a large hook and line. She just had emergency surgery to get it removed and is not doing well at all. I will keep you updated when I have the time. I'm very devastated as she was doing so well and this she is struggling with this harder than the amputation.

@higherloveabove oh no!! im sorry to hear this!! i cannot imagine the pain you are going threw right now... it was already too much with the amputation stuff, now this?! ugh. you have to be strong for Jade, they feed off of it. she has already been threw sooo much & you were there on along. stay strong!! i'll be thinking about you guys! keep us updated!!

Sorry to hear of Jade's accident. The Anaesthesia Gas would not be agreeing with her stomach so soon after the amputation, the poor girl. Give her 3-5 days to recover and I'm sure she'll be back to herself again. My dog also suffered with stomach pains and nausea when he had to have extra surgery a few weeks after the amputation, but he recovered, and so will Jade. I've sent you a message outlining my own experiences with Kwame in regards to this, I hope it's of some help. GET WELL SOON JADE!

She looks great! :) It's amazing to see them playing around in such a short amount of time, Jade has obviously been well cared for. Have a great Easter Jade+Family!
