  • @lewars1912. I had a look at the OED definition of costy and it's a valid alternative to costly, in use from c13th.

    I wonder if Brando just preferred the cadence of the word. I have to admit it sounds better. Maybe he felt there were too many "L's" in costly blood?

  • @dalekdude180 No, it isn't written this way and yes it seems to be a mispronunciation, however it is to me such a glaring mistake that I can't understand why there is no mention of it anywhere. I searched online and could find no mention of it. I was of course joking with my reply agreeing with the girl who said that "it sounds better."
