i noticed your arms in the video, whether intentional or not, were locked straight at the back end of you countermovement. I have always taught athletes to hold the olympic running arm action on the backswing to cause a faster stretch elastic catch in the front shoulder and chest (basically i have them bend at about 130 degrees instead of 180 degrees or arms straight). Any thoughts on if that matters, if i should focus less on arm bend, because if an athlete stiff arms it, i correct it to bent

For a home gym setup for verticle jump what would you say to be the most important piece of equipment needed to improve the verticle jump

great video, as always.
so what if you're trying to dunk? (holding a ball)
how much arm swing can one use to jump higher?

@muern Thanks and good question. Obviously, this would limit the contribution mostly on the eccentric/downward force side of things due to the lesser degree of range of motion that one can achieve when a ball is in the hands. However, on the concentric/upward action it will probably actually help to have a ball in the hands to a certain degree b/c one will have to strive to get the ball to reach/touch a given point.
