  • great video, as always.

so what if you're trying to dunk? (holding a ball)

how much arm swing can one use to jump higher?

  • @muern Thanks and good question. Obviously, this would limit the contribution mostly on the eccentric/downward force side of things due to the lesser degree of range of motion that one can achieve when a ball is in the hands. However, on the concentric/upward action it will probably actually help to have a ball in the hands to a certain degree b/c one will have to strive to get the ball to reach/touch a given point.

  • i noticed your arms in the video, whether intentional or not, were locked straight at the back end of you countermovement. I have always taught athletes to hold the olympic running arm action on the backswing to cause a faster stretch elastic catch in the front shoulder and chest (basically i have them bend at about 130 degrees instead of 180 degrees or arms straight). Any thoughts on if that matters, if i should focus less on arm bend, because if an athlete stiff arms it, i correct it to bent

  • @joshdesjardins6 squat rack

  • For a home gym setup for verticle jump what would you say to be the most important piece of equipment needed to improve the verticle jump
