  • This is the SEVENTH video in this series.

  • I couldn't agree more.. number your stuff AND get that stupid logo out of the way so we can actually see what is going on..

  • @AsperGirl sorry I never saw your remark:) even if your lye/water mix is 60 degrees, it will warm up with your oils over the stove. coconut, shea butter and such will turn back to a solid if temp is too low. I heat it all on stove to around 120. It has worked for me every time! I just line a lasagna or loaf pan with saran wrap. That way, you never have to worry about sticking. Good luck. Remember: measure right, have temp right (110 some say) and mix enough and voila! soap!

  • I'd also like Expert Village ot put their videos in order - have the same problem with their jewellery videos = very annoying!

  • @79oahu What's "room temp" to you? I keep my house at 60 degrees in the Winter. I like her instructions.

There sure are a lot of catty, snippy soap makers carping at these videos with dumb comments.

  • Okay....one more time. Don't worry about the temp being the same. You can use lye/water a day or more later at room temp. Just have your oils at a little higher temp. 120 maybe. Check temp when u mix. If low, apply a little heat on the stove. Just don't get to the smoke point of your oils. And many fragrances have a low flash point....like 150. If you reach that you could cause a flambe. Don't forget...great gran cooked it over a fire.....it is not this complicated. Happy soaping!

  • lol. when she said not to put your lye in a microwave. SURE. only if you want to throw the lye water away.

  • You're not a kidding!!!! WHat is so Fricken hard to type #1 of 6, #2 of 6 etc.

    GEEEEEEEEEEZUZ this is frustrating
