Quality poor on up load, I will try to upload a cleaner copy

This video was at the Colonel's Review 5th or June 2010
I had a pass to film this, and have some excellent photos .
Just a shame YouTube wont take any more than 10 min and the quality is reduced on up load

  • About 2 or 3 men in front of our drummer friend there is what appears to be a very well built officer with a sword but no musical instrument. I have noticed him before in other videos marching along The Mall with the band.. Anybody know what purpose he is serving?

  • @MrGoldsable mmmmmmmmmm?

Good one , He is a Major of the Scots Guards , they do have officers in the mass bands and most are flautist's however I also can't see an instrument, so this would lead me to believe it is the Director of Music: Major Douglas Robertson. Well spotted ;-)

  • fantastic

  • Q. What is the dynamic range of a bass trombone?

    A. On or Off!

  • @MrGoldsable You are correct, that is a Bugle on his right side.

  • it is better then the bbc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PICK THAT "F*****G DRUM UP YOU 'ORRIBLE LITTLE MAN"

  • @mrtreebus Next question:- The last man in line to turn behind our drummer friend also seems to be lacking a musical instrument, he just seems to be having a good look around. Is he there to make up the numbers or could there be a bugle hanging behind his right arm?

  • @mrtreebus Thank you for your fast response, and your compliment. Yes that's him, I googled his name and rank then brought up images.. I would never have recognized him from under the bear skin but the row of 5 medals are exactly the same. He doesn't look like he's got grey hair. lol

  • The neutral slow march is "Nairac, GC" by Stuart Watts and John Lewis. It's very beautiful.

  • nice shot nice band
