(February 4, 2011) With the amount of information available to individuals today rapidly increasing, human cognition and information processing abilities are struggling to keep up with the enormous amount of data. In this presentation Kittur examines how social collaboration is allowing for unparalleled informative power in the realm of complex and creative information. His study examines networks such as Wikipedia and Mechanical Turk. He discusses how the power behind social collaboration will lead to discoveries in the future.
