I love Sloths

Spiderman the Sloth is an orphan rescued by Aviarios Del Caribe a sloth sanctuary down in Costa Rica. So incredible to have such an unique experience with this amazing animal that usually lives hidden high up in the rainforest canopy.

They may be quiet and cute, but they are not harmless at all (a sloth turning wild could easily cut your throat if you're within its range). They're even protected species. They need a specific alimentation, since they eat leafs and fruits when they're savage. They also need a certain weather to live well. It is better to let them rest in the nature or in specialized centers : they'll surely feel better.

why are sloths not allowed as pets? they are harmless right? they are quiet and cute.. why can't we buy them as pets?

I'm not so sure they'd make good pets, especially for people who want an a pet that will interact with them... they spend a good deal of time sleeping or just staying completely still because their diet doesn't give them much energy.
