For those who cares, here's a little presentation of the pipes that has been added to my collection in 2011.

For more info on Steffen Nielsen and The Danish Pipeshop, here's an article by Nikolaj, the son of Steffen, who now runs the shop: http://pipesmagazine.com/blog/pipe-manufacturer-retailer-spotlight/the-danish...

  • The body is intact even though a swedish guy acturally died in a lavine where we were. By the way. The Neerup presentation is awsome and I love the music. May I use it on Face?

  • @MrSurfernik08 Of course, go ahead.

Good to hear that you are intact ;) The swede on the other hand, that's sad.

  • My father would have loved to see your joy for pipes and the shop and his pipe is in good hands now. I remember the Savoy pipes from my childhood but when they stopped I dont know. There is not much to find about them on the web as well. I think they vere imported by CB Møller.

  • @MrSurfernik08 Nik, good to see you here! Hope you had a good vacation (didn't break any legs did you?). I will take good care of the Savoy, that's for sure. What really makes it valuable to me is its history, the fact that it belonged to your dad. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that it's a beautiful pipe either. As I said, probably the best sandblast I've seen.

    See you, boss!

  • Some real beauties there Arko! My favorite would be that Nanna. Man, Stanwell is very fortunate to have such great makers design a pipe for them, its a great tradition that I'm glad there still doing. Oh and the Comoy is magnificent! All worthy pipes there for your collection. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

    James

  • @astroman2112 Well, thanks, James! Yes, that Nanna pipe is great. As I said, not my typical style of smoker, but how can one NOT adore this harmonic piece?

  • Those pipes are all gorgeous, but that bulldog is simply amazing! It's hard to find bulldogs with a nice big bowl on them. Those slender straight pipes are definitely you. I'm trying to picture you smoking a Boswell Oom Paul and I can't see it. =)

I fear if I worked in a pipeshop I'd owe them money on payday instead of collecting a cheque. You must have more willpower than myself.

    Ben.

  • great pipes my friend

    i love the comoys

thanks for showing us your great pipes

    keep em smoking

  • @Pipepoet I am very much into those simple classic lines from days of pipe smoking glory, being a carver myself I have noticed a real push toward large pipes most of my work is made up of big pokers and fat rhodesians all very stubby and stout. Not my style but its the trend like you mentioned.. I am really glad to see you back Arko I have always admired your knowledge and style for pipes..

  • @41DegreesSouth Why, thank you very much, Nick! That's kind of you to say. By the way, I've only recently found your channel, but I must admit that I've enjoyed it a lot. You seem like a good guy.

You have a great Christmas too!

  • @mibgd Ah, old pal! Missed you too.
