Greg pullman is one dedicated industry pro, he custom builds tamper to your basket, so they fit perfectly, the best bet is to buy a basket(i got the synesso double)from him and he will lathe a tamper to suit that very basket......what more could you ask for! Wsully (coffeesnobs)

I just bought a Pullman, and I have to say ive been so happy with tamping ever since. I cant compare with a RB tamper as I dont have one. However, I strongly believe in supporting an Australian product.
I recommend everyone to get one if your serious about coffee!

The Reg is a great product and very well respected. For the sake of others reading this I should point out that the Pullman Barista with the Acetal or Hardwood handles will give you the same bottom-heavy weight distribution as the Reg, while the aluminium handles give you a balanced tamper. At the end of the day though the choice of tamper is a personal one, there's no one tamper that's the best for everyone. We're fortunate to have such a range available.
hi bacon, I'm looking for a nice tamper for my Giotto. Would you know what diameter I should be looking for?

It's the industry standard 58mm tamper, Although I think the basket that came with the machine is 58.5mm. But buy the 58mm anyway so it will fit other machines as well. Reg Barber makes some fantastic tampers, little expensive but well worth it.

i recon Pullman tampers would be the way to go. they are made in Australia too.

Yes, I have a Pullman as well and they are lovely to hold with the rubber bits. But in term of weighting and balance Reg Barber is hard to beat.
