Did you ever think to google for a metric conversion website? Lol! Just have to type in what you have and it will do the figures for you.. LOL!

For the purpose of breaking things, I'm for 7.62X39. The material density stops it from fragmenting, thus being able to puncture a larger variety of objects. I'd recommend 5.56 for long range. If I had to recommend any cartridge though, I'd go for a much stronger round like .30-06, .270, or .308, with my favorite round being .375 H&H magnum.

basically 7.62x 39 kicks ass close range

I'll go with the 5.56 x 45. Who else agrees?

They started calling them high capacity magazines when Clinton put a ten round limit on all guns.

@androgenix in my opinion that would be a better rifle to compare against the AR because it is a closer related round
@KennyKrabbs 16'' ARs and M4s have shit ballistic next to a 20'' or 24''
a standard 55gr FMJ needs about to be traveling at about 1200 fps to fragment, thats only about 150 yards out of a 16'' barrel of course you go with higher grain shit and you get greater distance. that same 55gr will fragment out to 500 meters with a 20'' barrel
EVER WONDER WHY THE MARINES STILL USE FULL LENGTH M16'S?
THATS WHY!
