@samadamspatriot Private sector is incredibly depressed buddy. There's an abundance of people with J.D.'s that simply can't get work with private firms. JAG Corps is respectable work, unless you've actually been there, you can't be taken seriously with ridiculous claims about playing Solitaire. And from what I've heard, private practice isn't all excitement and accomplishment either. Moreover, with the JAG Corps you don't have to sell your life away working 80 hour weeks.

Do you have to have a Law Degree before you are considered for JAG?

@SamMuller808 I looked into "the whole thing" too. You're wasting your time shuffling paper ledgermeins. There's no romance with the JAG criminal courts like the TV show drama. Most of JAG law is just mindless paper work, coupled with doing nothing and playing solitaire on a Windows PC amidst the boredom and bureaucracy. If you want to serve your country, don't be a leach on the taxpayers and get a real job in the private sector.

@samadamspatriot actually whats funny is I really did look into the whole thing after reading your comment and I made my final decision and decided I really do want to be a JAG lawyer. I really dont care about the pay. Its more cuz I want to help those who serve our country and I want to serve my country as well

@SamMuller808 JAG lawyers are dumb... do private practice... instead of pointless bureaucratic paper-shuffling for the gov-ment...
