So after listening to the song called Do you LOVE me i thought of Odette from Swan Princess and how the whole reason behind their mess was that she didn't know if he loved her or the way she looked. In this video She asks Derek "Is beauty all that matters to you?" and his response makes her call off the wedding and leave, bringing up memories of their first meeting. After this Derek tries to put his feelings about Odette into words. Odette is heartbroken and becomes one with the lake and so time passes. While in the lake she remembers Derek, and when he comes to the lake she comes out. Odette wants him to prove his love to her somehow and he comes up with a plan. He gives her a locket and tells her to meet him at the ball where he will tell the world how much he loves her and they will be married. They both look forward to the ball and when the night finally arrives Odette appears... but there was someone else in Odette's life. A man who fell in love with her and tried to marry her and make her happy. Unfortunately for both of them she loves Derek and so breaks his heart when she realizes Derek loves her. The man who is in love with her grows mad with jealousy and comes to the ball. His obsession drives him to kill Odette and magic her body away. Derek gives chase and upon finding Odette apologizes for how everything turned out.

The last bit can be interpreted as you want, either she didn't die or he's remembering her playful spirit, i just love that clip.
