I agree that Obama has shown a LOT of naivete on the advisors he's surrounded himself with. However I would also say that weak stimulus, weak healthcare plan, weak financial regualtion, are more reflections of the rampant corruption of our poliical system. Which includes congress.

After Obama used "the machine" to get elected, I really don't expect him to throw himself on the grears to stop it.

Real change has to come from the bottom up.

@oolong2 I'm not saying Bush did any better because he surely didn't. However, Obama's sheer incompetence when it comes to these matters is astounding. His entire team is a bunch of naive fools...Geithner et al. The "stimulus" was a waste of money that produced almost nothing and destroyed things that should not have been....such as "cash for clunkers". Waste, waste, waste...when those vehicles could have gone to those in need. Obama administration = hopelessly naive.

Sure if you blindly follow a political narrative.

However looking at the data it clearly shows the upward trend in unemployment before the stimulus and a downward trend right afterwards.

What you also don't know is that the "stimulus" was mostly TAX CUTS....

Actual "stimulus" was only like 200 billion. We need is a massive program to build up our infrastructure (power, internet, roads, bridges, rail, transit, etc).

What we got was weaksauce and another tax cut.
