If I use extended desktop I don't see a thing on my pc monitor and all I do is go blind (back and forth from my room to where the tv is) in order to have the great quality that I want.

Also the hd movie seems a bit dark on tv.

ANy help ??

OK here is something I would like you to answer.

I connect my Ati HD 5770(PC) with an HDMI cable to my TV (all done).

I use the HDMI sound so I have sound as well.

THE DIFFICULT PART: I choose extended desktop and everything appears on my TV and not the pc-monitor.

I use duplicate deksktop and the image appears in both tv andpc monitor but I can't make the resolution higher in order to enjoy an HD quality through my TV.

Two things to Check:
1) Have you enabled the second display on the PC - Control Panel > Personalization > display settings. Move a window to the second display.
2) is the TV's Input set to listen to the VGA input port. At the TV use the input selector to cycle through to the VGA or "Computer" port.

3) the VGA cable does not carry audio and will require an additional cable. (shown in the video)

My tv has both of the outputs. It has the white and red and also has something called "audio hmi/pc". It fits a headphone jack, if that helps. Which audio cable should I get?
