I just got my mac 3 or 4 months ago, and I don't see any feature like that in Iphoto. I even did a software update, no luck...
My biggest beef w/ Iphoto is it doesn't' have a "next" button... So you have to manually drag the images into it instead of just browsing through folders.
One day they'll catch up :-)

the face thing comes with only the new macs bought after something like January 6th
