Here's a 720p video with a higher framerate than the last one I uploaded.
It finds notes from spikes in the audio spectrum and assign colours to what note it is, as per the most common synesthesia opinions ( http://i.imgur.com/l4u6O.gif ). The notes grow based on how long the spike is present.
I previously said that I plan on moving it into 3D and incorporating bird flocking visuals but that will require a fair bit of optimization so we'll see how it goes..

You can download the source if you like, but you'll need processing first.
Extract the zip into your Processing folder in My Documents.
Copy mp3s into the data folder and call them test1.mp3 ..... test9.mp3, you can trigger them with the 1-9 keys.
B key toggles what bars show: equaliser, peaking, none.
D key toggles adaptive peaking (like putting a compressor on the whole track).
N key toggles info on average levels and shows the bass frequency cutoff.
F key is supposed to toggle bandpass filter based on mouse X position but it's fucked up so try at your own risk haha.
P is supposed to toggle hardware acceleration but it actually runs worse for me for some reason.
