This was recorded in Marys River Natural Park in Corvallis, Oregon. Kites are more common here in the winter.

  • Saw 2-3 kites over my neighborhood on Monday, 2-15-10. Although I occasionally see them around, Monday's sighting was almost to the year that I'd seen a couple of the birds paired up. I've also seen pairs of the birds grabbing each other by the feet and tumble down through the air like eagles.

  • i think they might. the kestrel can but think of it like a bird. the airs not truly still, therefore, theres always wind.

  • Can this species hover without the aid of wind?

  • I've seen a few of them at finley

  • Just awesome great clips...Also the meadowlark one too...
