I recently bought the LEGRIA (VIXIA) HF200 Camera and I did this to test the manual focus feature.

Thanks for posting. Ive bought this camera and have never used this feature. Would be cool if you could focus the lens like an SLR though - around the lens rim.

how do you use the manual focus because i just got my hf200 thanks

When in view mode use the padsitck to expand the options. Going up and down you will see the focus feature (a sliced circle), go there and push the stick. Now you can control the focus distance moving the stick right and left.
