In this weeks episode of Made Fit TV, I give you some insight into the different body types and why certain body types lose weight, gain fat, gain muscle, or stay the same more than others. It's sometimes not just about the numbers - sometimes genetics is to blame.

  • i don't really seem to fit into any of these catagories, i am small boned a bit tall, gain muscle reasonably well, lowish body fat but i eat pretty healthy and i feel like if i didn't i'd get fat but idk, i also exercise a bit (btw i'm 16)

  • @dancingbears714 At your age, you should not ever worry about what somatype you are. Instead, just focus on being active and eating healthy. Your body changes so much and goes through the ringer at that age with hormones and trying to figure out what it's doing. Don't focus on it so much and over time, as long as you are taking care of yourself, you will find your natural body shape and size. My body changes so much between the ages of 16 and 22!

  • Somatotypes are bullshit. Don't let this crap stop you from achieving the physique that you want. "Bla, bla, bla I can't gain weight, I'm an ecto" or "bla, bla, bla, I can't lose weight, I'm endo!" are just bullshit excuses for you. If you want to lose weight, eat less and accordingly. Want to gain weight? Eat more and accordingly. Ignore all of this crap until you find out how you gain when you are eating properly and working yourself hard.

    Those are my 2 cents.

  • @1Makeprofit When you said "find out how you gain when you are eating properly and working yourself hard" - EXACTLY! The only way to find that out is to trial and error and see what works best for you and THEN you can determine what types of foods, training methods, etc work for YOU. You can call this bullshit all you want, but you can't fight the FACT that different people have different ratios of Type I and Type II muscle fibers and they respond to different macronutrient ratios.

  • I am a 21 year old male which i am a ect- meso. My wrist are just about 6.3 inches and i have a small bone structure. I am 5 foot 9 and i weight about 160 pounds. But i seem to put on mass fairly easy, but very slow. And i been training for almost 4 years already.

  • @MadeFitTV im not lean at all. Im always around 20% bf, regardless of how hard I diet. I dont mind though, i've got a phobia of weighing less than 200 lbs. and being one of the 'little guys' shudders...

  • @phaedruslive You are probably more of a mesomorph if you're body fat is not very high and you are muscular and cut. People think I take stuff, too, because I can just look at a weight and gain muscle lol! I'm not offended I just tell them I am built like my dad, lol! ; )

  • @MadeFitTV I am endo and I gain muscle so fast dudes constantly accuse me of steroid use.

  • I AM SUBSCRIBED!! I'm feeling really weak when it comes to my weight loss targets and I found Episode 49 - 10 reasons why you're not losing weight, and I am SO happy I found it. Thanks a bunch!!

  • @tytetee But she's sooooo cute in her t-shirts!! Actually, she has really bad skin allergies, so we were forced to start putting shirts on her a few years ago to prevent her from scratching herself raw! Seems to work well : ) But, yes, it does look a tad ridiculous, lol!! Thx for watching! xo
