Steamed up my Rocket for the very first time after getting a new butane canister, as you can see it ran great

  • Hornby 3 1/2" gauge Rockets are great! Shame they can't pull a person though.

    I have too. But what I mean is that there is no way they can pull someone in their original form. In it's original form they struggle to pull more than a few of the Hornby coaches. You need to add more weight modify the boiler (best thing to do is to build a new larger boiler) and possibly add traction tires to the wheels. It can

    be done, but you need to greatly modify the loco.

    Keep in mind that the Hronby Rockets were never designed to pull the weight of a person.
