  • If your going to say the whole industrial scene is owed to a band or two, I would say it is more Throbbing Gristle than anything else. They were more influential, and pretty much coined the term "Industrial"

  • And then we can also say early Puppy was heavily influenced by Portion Control, But I'd just be pissing in the wind I'm sure.

  • @11vivisection11 You mean the one that says "bodycount" on the bottom left when it starts?

  • @nerdlife I don't really look at it from a "scene" perspective at all. I don't feel I owe anything to throbbing gristle because I never liked them & so I wasn't influenced by them musically. SP on the other hand was highly influential to me. I don't like genres...only specific artists.

  • whats the song at 2:10 ?

  • This was the shit back in the day! Saw FLA & SP in concert a few times! They are not the founders of industrial but they sure as hell made it better! Years ahead of there time.

  • As an industrial artist myself I say that Puppy and Gristle are some of the most influential bands to ME (as well as a few others but Puppy and Gristle are legends) when I was first getting into industrial and trying to make some music I was taking keyboard lessons, I later found out that my teacher played with Throbbing Gristle :D

  • acid / sesquiped-

the first track is "smothered hope" by skinny puppy... it's not an FLA track :)

  • I went to a few of their shows back then.
