The Telegram brings local NHL stars together for a unique photo and fundraising opportunity. For more, vists thetelegram.com.

Six Newfoundland NHLers — Ryane Clowe, Teddy Purcell, Michael Ryder, Adam Pardy, Daniel Cleary and Luke Adam — gathered together on Signal Hill in St. John's in early August for a Telegram photo. Another Newfoundland NHLer, Colin Greening, was unable to make it. The Telegram purchased seven replica NHL jerseys and had each of the players sign their respective jersey. The seven player-worn jerseys are being auctioned off by The Telegram with proceeds going to the Children's Wish Foundation to help make a wish come true for 13-year-old Blake from Fortune. Blake's wish is to watch his beloved Detroit Red Wings in a NHL game, and meet Cleary and Pavel Datsyuk. See stories in the print edition of The Telegram and on the main page of the website, with links to the official auction site. Also located under the website's "Featured Links" section and click on "Hockey Jersey Auction" to make your bid for your favourite player's hand-signed jersey.
