BLADE 400 MADNESS! - BLADE 400 MADNESS - CLIMBING ROTOR STALLS, LOOPS, ROLLS, AUTO

BLADE 400 Description:

The Blade 400 3D is designed to give intermediate to advanced heli pilots a ready-to-fly experience like no other. It comes 100% factory built and flight tested so you can get flying right away. There is nothing left to assemble or set up. The Blade 400 3D is ready for hovering and 3D aerobatics as soon as you finish charging the battery. And you can fly it just about anywhere, anytime thanks to the included Spektrum 2.4GHz DX6i radio system that avoids interference with other RC users, even those on other 2.4GHz systems. You also get the benefit of the DX6i's advanced DSM2 protocol that provides the kind of locked-in, solid response that will let you fly even the most demanding 3D maneuvers with absolute precision.

The Blade 400 3D is the first ready-to-fly mini-heli to come equipped with Spektrum's advanced DX6i 2.4GHz DSM2 6-channel programmable computer aircraft system. Besides providing freedom from frequency restrictions and interference, the DX6i's DSM2 technology offers other unique advantages like faster control response and innovative features such as ServoSync™. ServoSync automatically resequences transmitted data so mixed servos receive their pulses at the same time so you can fly extreme 3D aerobatics with absolute precision. The system also includes the feather-light, 4.4-gram Spektrum AR6100e Microlite receiver.

Other DX6i features include:
• Full-range capability
• 10-model memory
• Heli and airplane programming
• Two types of swashplate mixing: standard or 120º CCPM
• 3-axis dual rates and exponential
• Travel adjust
• Servo monitor
• Two 5-point throttle curves
• Three 5-point pitch curves
• Revo mixing
• Gyro sensitivity programming
• Two programmable mixes

FMA/Revolectrix CPII

CPII looks at the horizon with infrared heat sensors (same technology used for thermal imaging cameras). The earth is warmer than the sky (even covered with snow) . Copilot sees this temperature difference, and sends corrective signals to the Roll and Pitch servos to help stabilize the aircraft, if you don't touch the stick.

Since the infrared environment is not affected by variation in visible light levels, an airplane or helicopter equipped with Co-Pilot could be flown at night.

Once set up properly, its performance can be quite remarkable.

  • Hey Crazy.

I just got a 400. How do you like this heli? I was gonna get an SR but $50 more I got this with everything less a Tx. Windy day today...

  • @Drumbone71 - If you get the 400 without the TX, will you have a TX to use with it? I like both the 400 and the SR almost equally. Both good helis for the price. The SR is a little more "entry level" and simpler whereas the 400 is a little more advanced, since it has a belt driven and feathering pitch tail rotor. If you're not used to working with and setting up helis yet, you may want to consider the SR. Happy flying!

  • Sweet flying, nice smooth transitions between +/- and good mix of shots. I am very happy with my 400 it makes this level more affordable to get in to. Great video 5* all around.

  • @KaluaRcVids - Thanks for the comment :) I was testing a CPII device for FMA when making this vid. They have a GREAT FSS. If you're at this level you might want to check them out. I'll be doing a dedicated, in-depth video series on it shortly. Their CPII can reduce your learning curve *drastically*. Take care and happy flying!

  • Well, it was some crazy camera work for sure! Lol.

  • @lynx1677 - Thanks. Lol Yeah I wanted it to have that sort of random "broken" look. Guess I achieved it :)

  • @samistun33 - You can get the B400 from most LHSs and the CPII from FMA Direct.

  • where can i buy one of these?

  • @AxsFin - Thanks :)

  • @strang35 - Depends on where you're picking it up from and what kind of condition it's in. Is it new or used? If new and comes with the DX6i I would say go for it.

  • @CrazyHeliDude Am i wrong for picking one up for less than $400
