Well, the whole barrier is a segment.

The frame is a static mesh.

The lasers are animated and have a simple script which kills the player if he "touches" them.

And I have used the Segment Editor to make the whole segment.

Is that just a hurt zone set to 500 or are the lasers themselves scripted?

Of course the lasers themselves are scripted.

Otherwise you cannot turn off/on a Hurt Zone with a switch - just have a closer look at the video :-)

its looks okay, but the visuals could be better, the lasers im talking about. they looks like blue, iron rods than infra red beams in the first Resident Evil movie.
