Hurricane Katrina officially made landfall on August 29th, 2005 in New Orleans. This will without a doubt go down as one of the country's darkest days. This video is a tribute to all of the victims and their families. May the victims of this catastrophic event rest in peace forever. Let us not forget that it has now been three years since this horrific event took place. It is difficult to believe that it has been three years and much of the Gulf Coast is still in ruins. Thank you for watching this video! Please leave your comments, I want to hear your thoughts and opinions on this catastrophic event.

  • Amazing video. I am in love with the city of New Orleans. I will be moving there in Jan. But one of the biggest misconceptions about hurricane Katrina is that it actually hit New Orleans, which is not the case. It moved east back into the Gulf, it was the storm surge from the Gulf that devasated New Orleans.

  • NICE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHECK OUT VIDEO "THE BLUES ON MUSIC STREETS" BY TBAZCO ROAD. very moving song and video TRIBUTE TO HURRICANE KATRINA

  • This is a great video and most appropriate song. I was a relief worker that came in to help after Katrina and stayed through Rita until the end of 2005. It is hard for people that weren't there to imagine what Louisiana looked like after these terrible storms. I still have nightmares about what I encountered. Thank goodness for photos and videos like this to document the damage and suffering that occured. Thanks so much for the video!!!

  • Nice video..... it was nice when i posted almost the exact same video 5 years ago only weeks after the storm hit. A few of the pictures in your video were taken BY ME. same music some same pics with a few more added. im not trying to be a dick im just irritated that my video only got a few thousand hits. good work none the less. by the way im a soldier and i was doing search and rescue the day after the waters receaded. not pretty

  • @NewMadrid01 it's the same, just a lot of new things. the saints winning the superbowl helped a lot.

  • I love you.

  • nice
