Hayward Gateway Mural on KTVU Channel 2 News

Award-winning California artist Andrew Kong Knight finishes the largest public art project in Hayward, California.

The massive, 3,500-square foot "Hayward Gateway" project, greets thousands of people each day to the City of Hayward.
 
Knight said the mural, part of a larger initiative to enhance the Hayward Downtown area, was inspired by his own experiences growing up in Hayward.
  
The Hayward Gateway Mural is located at 22401 Foothill Blvd. (the Furniture Express building wall.) The mural is on the corner of Foothill Blvd. and Civic Center Dr.  across from Hayward Centennial Hall.

This Mural will be officially "Unveiled" on Saturday, May 1st
2010 from 10AM to 3PM at the mural site.
