Do you think so? I would guess it was taken in one go, with two cameras - the one of the orchestra alone section enabling the first camera to get into position for the close-up to the end.
Yes, they may have had to do more than one take, but in those days artists were professional and would be expected to get it right first time!
Incidentally, someone please tell that trumpet player to sit up straight - stop slouching!

Sorry!!! But "PERFIDIA" is a Mexican Song.
OK. Sung in Spanish. Remember Mexico is country #1 with more Spanish-speakers people (107,000,000), U.S.A. is #2 with 50,000,000 and Spain #3 with 46,000,000 people

I don't understand a word of it, but what a wonderfully expressive language to sing in!
I have always thought we English-only speakers are so lucky to be able to hear beautiful songs in beautiful languages we don't understand - we are able to appreciate the wonderful sounds of the language without the meanings of the words getting in the way.

I hope you're not being sarcastic about monolingual Brits/Americans/etc., because I completely agree with you. It's great to hear someone else say what I've been thinking for years. I'm so often disappointed at the translation/meaning of a song that I had been appreciating as "pure music." It happens often with classical, folk, religious and many pop songs like this one. If the lines aren't going to be clever or thoughtful, I'd just as soon not have "the words getting in the way," as you said.
