[Part 1]
I stood at my locker, watching as she threw herself at him. What did he have that I didn't? Sure, he was popular, but at least I actually had the heart to care about her. How could she take him back after what he did? It took me three long, eventful months to get her back on her feet and this is what it leads to? How could I have fallen for this? She was probably just using me, but even after all that...I still love her.
"Get over her, man." I heard my brother and best friend say as he opened his locker. I glanced at him but quickly turned my attention back to Miley and her dick of a boyfriend.
"Yeah. I wish it were that easy." I replied.
"Joe, you knew she'd always run back to him when she got the chance. Why are you so hooked up on her?" He questioned. Why run back to him? He's a douche that uses girls for one thing and I bet you can guess just what that one thing is. I turned to face him completely.
"Nick, what the two of us has last summer was...it was indescribable. We were ourselves with each other. It was like...like nothing else mattered ya know?" I replied and it was completely true. She may have run back to that ass hole, but I know, with everything in me, that she felt it too. Nick shut his locker and turned to me.
"I'm pretty sure that was all in your head, bro." He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes. Now you see why he's still single. He has no feelings. "Come on. Let's just get to class." He said, patting my shoulder. "You've got enough tardy slips to start a collection." He joked before heading off in the direction of first block. I sighed deeply and followed him.
The rest of the day dragged on- class after class. The bell finally rang, signaling that the first day of senior year had officially come to an end. I grabbed my things and walked out of the classroom, stopping abruptly when I bumped into someone. "Oh! I'm so sorry!" The oh-so-familiar voice said as she kneeled down to grab her things.
"No. It was my fault. I should've been paying more attention." I replied. We both stood up and that's when I finally looked at her. She looked the same as she did a month ago. Her hair was long of course, but she still had those beautiful, oceanic, blue eyes that made me melt.
"So...How've ya been?" She asked, a small smile appearing on her tanned face. I looked down, avoiding eye contact.
"Ok." I replied simply. She nodded. "You?" I asked.
"Great actually. Me and Liam got back together." She noted. I rolled my eyes when she wasn't looking. "How's your brother?" I shrugged.
"Go-" I was cut off by her obnoxious boyfriend when he walked up to us, wrapping his arm around her and kissing her. I rolled my eyes. "I'll uh...see ya around." I muttered before walking off. Why is he constantly in my way? Every time I get the smallest chance at getting her, he comes in.
This is really good :)
