I think that even your above 10 the lazy eye can cure because im 14 and when i exercise my right eye i feel that my lazy eye cures and sees better

Are you supposed to wear your glasses when you do eye exercises or not? I have trouble focusing on things without my glasses.

My eye goes to the left when I make quick contact with someone or get nervous. Other than that it doesnt go cross eyed. Im 16 and im about to have surgery to help this. Ive done many things as i was younger which kind of helped. And i was told that if it dont straighten with the first surgery then it will on the second surgery. Becuase its a 80% chance u will fix it with surgery.

@MagicDrumSticks so uncurable after 10 no way ??

It's not possible to treat it in adults. Because after the age of 10, the lazy eye is already underdeveloped. And we know that nerve cells don't grow....

There have been a very few cases where amblyopia has been improved in adults, but this is extremely rare. KEEP ON PATCHING AND EXERCISING

so to stimulate the that specific center in the brain and develop those neuronal pathways. Surgery corrects cosmetc problems only, but the problem is inthe brain, and only vision therapy and patching can correct that.

@Painnnnful thanks for the long explanation! I'm glad you understand and mention that surgery will not get rid of the underlying problems. Unleash Your Vision is a form of holistic vision therapy that anyone can do from home.

In both strabismic and aniometropic amblyopia one eye becomes dominant. In strabismic amblyopia drifting away also occurs, because the brain didn't learn how to use both eyes together. Both eyes can drift or just one. In the latter case one is dominat and the other is not in the right position so the image does not fall on the fovea (yellow small spot on the retina that is in charge of seeing fine details, read...). Because of that amblyopia occurs, which i most of the cases doesn't mean

@Painnnnful the brain got used to the wrong position, but can learn the new position when the root causes are gone and the eyes adjust correctly. It might take a couple of days to get the image clear, but the brain will adapt.
