  • gente, é Cupido de D.Quixote. eu retirei de um dvd com a versão do ballet dançada pela Aurelie Dupont como Kitri.

  • I think alot of it is the innapropriate costume they chose. They need to stick with the tomboyish Greco-Roman style toga. Costumes are SO important to the mood and tone of ballet, and that tutu and bodice are just too heavy and too formal for that part.

  • Love how she phrased it/danced it. I like this version of the choreography too, although I like the other version as well, not sure which one I prefer.

If I didn't know that she was cupid, I wouldn't be able to guess because of the costume, but I much prefer it to the usual toga.

  • This is my least favorite version of this variation that I have ever seen! The costume is horrible, the musicality is absent, and her movements go far beyond the realm of 'artistic flare' and detract from the variation. For example, the way she is leaning in the turns in the diagonal is not executed properly - there is a way to 'lean' but it comes from the arms and upper back, not from a literal leaning to the side of the body/spine, as she does here. This is why I like Vaganova...

  • i think this is the only video from paris opera ballet I've ever seen without a ridiculously elaborate set.

  • @HolySnap78 or it could be from paquita, they use the tutu when they dance it in paquita.

  • I love the choreography but why are the tutus to damn huge? All of them look odd because they're so gigantic.

  • @sylviajp

I think so...most versions I've seen and the one done at my school's productions have a slight incline towards the side of the working leg but not quite as much as her...it's probably her artistic style that SHE added as opposed to it being so dramatic in the choreography

  • eu quero a dança das moçinhas de trás. qual o nome?

  • @sylviajp Yeah it's the chorepgraphy..

  • @hgpink Don Quixote :)

  • Is that Don Q or Paguita?

  • Why is her upper body inclined when she does the manège ? (beginning at 0:19) Is that the choreography?
