Here's a short improvisation of "He's a Pirate" from Pirates of the Caribbean being played by my 128K Sinclair ZX Spectrum +. It is the product of a BASIC program which uses the BEEP command.

  • You could also go into 128k basic and use the PLAY command and enclose the notes you want to play in quotes.

  • Good suggestion! I'm new to the Spectrum so am still familiarising myself with it.

  • Nice timing to start learn Spectrum.

  • Good to see a Speccy 128k still working. Does the heatsink get too hot? I had to mod a fan on mine.

  • Good to see a Speccy+ still working. Does the heatsink get too hot to touch? Mine used to.

  • @GPOTOM WTF?

  • BEST MUSIC EVER

  • this great Ive just seen Clive sinclair on the johnathon ross show...crazy

  • Nice video!

  • Or just put all the note information after a DATA command at the end, and use the READ command to pull back each value - that way you only need one BEEP!
