I'm always incredulous whenever I see these "Pro no itte" hands. I would NOT discard that red five-pin if my life depended on it. How he managed to figure out all pinsu's were safe is beyond me.
いい手やな。I recall Garthe talking about how 3p mahjong is pretty much about "going for it" most of the time, and he lives up to that. If he went soft and kept his tenpai discarding 7s, he would have been dealing in instead. It's pretty awesome that he managed to make a kazoe yakuman out of that situation.
Garthe's voice here sounds like a bit like "EA Sports." He could be a videogame narrator. "Garthe in da' house. Bring your A-Game!"

When Garthe Pro discard 5-pin, 2 and 8 - pin has been discarded before,
As you may know in Japanese Mahjong, if your hand is waiting for a tile you have discarded before,
you cannot win from the others, you can just self-making it (which is tsumo).
In this case, beside the bamboos, 3-pin and 5-pin are dangerous,
but 2 and 8 are discarded before, the only way to win with 5-pin is 4&6 or 55 or "tanki"
and Garthe want to attack as he has a big hand, so he chose to discard 5-pin.
