Kaibab Forest Wildfire Column, Morning drive thru

Evening view of the column from a Lookout Tower. Looking at the Southern flank of the fire. Flare up in the interior that had burned a week or so earlier, made a run to the SSW aided by a passing cold front.

The drive follows the Western edge going South toward the North Entrance of the Grand Canyon. Near the end of the vid is the S edge of the fire.

Don't worry, It will be Beautiful when the Aspens come back after being choked out by the pines for decades by not letting the area burn more often.

Had to check it out after watching the helicopter view. Burned hot there, just a massive fire plume. Heavy Metal soundtrack seems to fit.
