College Portfolio Film

My submission to various film schools. I'm applying to Iran Institute of Technology Early Decision, Mexico University, and Liberty University so I can troll all the Catholics/Born agains/whatever.

I'm actually applying to SUNY Purchase, NYU, Emerson, Hampshire, RIT, and Ringling College of Art and Design.

Upon suggestions from a few friends, a few minor adjustments to this film will be made in a few weeks after the deadline since it's airing on a local channel, but this is what is being sent to colleges.... hope you enjoy. I realize that I have not uploaded a violin video in quite some time, which is why many of you have subscribed to me, so I will do so in the next month or so.

@StudioMoley I have not even sent my application in. I wonder how good their film program is, considering their animation one is top notch. I'm going to visit Ringling if I get in before I decide whether I should go there.

@StudioMoley Oh wow, I checked out Catharsis a few months ago and loved it. I'm sure you won't have a problem getting in anywhere with a video like that... props man, didn't realize it was you.

Jordan, did you play the entire soundtrack, or was some of this stock production music? It sounds really good, if a bit too loud for the dialogue at times.

@ProFriend Sadly I did not have time to record the music for the end of the movie. It was composed, but due to time restrictions and all other schoolwork, I could not record it because they were very complex and layered pieces, and required better recording equipment than my h4n. The music I used though is beautiful and by a band called Anathema. It is from their latest album Falling Deeper.

Nice use of POV dude. My favorite edit is at 2:06 where the fiance says, "Hey Val?" and she responds in the cut. The music is rather fitting during this moment as well. It also reminds me of an AMAZING cut in Scott Pilgrim v.s. The world. Scott and Knives are talking and the shots are simple shot reverse shots of them walking but we change locations in mid conversation. It's amazing!!! Thanks for subscribing!
