my c6 corvette vs v10 bmw m5

race a bmw m5 in the 1/4 mile that thing has a v10 and i kill it. Very nice car.

The Corvette is a sports car it is NOT a muscle car, the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger are pony cars, GTO's, Olds 88s and 442s etc are muscle cars. A muscle car is a stripped down mid size coupe or sedan (preferrably coupe) with a full size cars engine. A Corvette is not a stripped down mid size coupe, it is a two seat high performance sports car.

@helianimal @helianimal I was assuming this was an LS3 with 436 hp,giving the M5 64 more hp,but since the video is from 2007,we'll say its the LS2,giving the M5 even MORE hp than the vette.And I counted the 4300lbs because I read 'touring' wagon weight.Ok,so the M5 has 500hp,4000+ lbs and 0-60 in 4.1 sec 1/4 mile in 12.4,Corvette C6 base (05-07) 400hp,3250+ lbs and 0-60 in 4.2 sec 1/4 mile in 12.5. But had this been a Z06 the M5 wouldnt stand a chance.

Looks like.. the vette ran a 12.3@113? Stock? Tires? Nice run, I wish you could see the 60' it looks like he tore off the tree. That 1/4 time + mph = 1.8's to low 1.9 60' at least (should be), which also = Good tires/track or maybe drag radials. I think the M5 definitely wasn't in "M" mode.

Wrong all around. 1. The M5 is JUST over 4000lbs, not 4300lbs. 2. This is an LS2 Vette so it's 100HP LESS than the M5. 3. It's Very likely that the Vette is running drag radials, based on a 12.3@113. 4. The M5 was probably in "400hp" normal mode, not 500hp "M" mode. M5's stock easily run 12.4-12.6 @ 114-116 mph, if you check > drag times . com. This C6 had a well above average run compared to the slowest M5 run I've seen.
