this video should be helpful for student bus safty

As a bus driver in Canada, I've seen it as well. What we need is support from the school boards and the respective bus company to resolve these issues, a camera would also be of help to pin point the instigators. The school boards and companys would then have to work a little to rid the buses of these problem makers. It will take a little fortitude and extra work on their part if they are truly interested in enforcing safety issues not just talking about it!!! , SUPPORT YOUR SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS

@jojojrvs I don't know about you asshole, but I'm a bus driver of a 84 passenger. And let me tell you something, just cause you pull off the side of a road doesn't mean they are going to stop. Some kids are just bad.. plain and simple. They love to start problems cause they don't want to go home or something else.
But when you have ANOTHER school to pick up in 30 minutes and your their only ride, and you have to get this load of brats home.. There is no stopping some days. That's real life-

Not really the camera's fault that the kids ignore being recorded, and act up. A camera can only document, what is done with that documentation is up to the parents. Unfortunately too many parents across the economic social spectrum just don't plain care.

I agree, we need the installed cameras on the bus for our own safety. If we didn't something bad can happen and they would probably what caused it to happen or why it happened with out cameras in the bus.

YES! This is the Best IDEA!
MY Wife is a driver, all she can do is pull over and wait out the little skum bags.
School Division is NO Help, afraid of the parents (my kid wouldn't do that).
Ever had a 12 year old give you an elbo in the back as you try to stop a fight..
Ever had a G12 make himself puke on the the seet every day just for fun.
Oh and a pudding cup tossed at an oncomming car will go through a windsheild.
Kotex pads stuck to the outside of the bus is classy too.
Note: This 2safeschools archived video is just that - an archived video. School bus cameras only deter malbehavior for a few days on some buses. Cameras remain very helpful when needed to sort out the so-called finger-pointing - who did what and when. Bullies and fabricators can be identified and dealt with where the adults involved are doing their part to help stop violence on the buses. I accept video cameras on the school buses, and also in banks and stores for the obvious reasons.

This video is rediculous! Anyone who drives a school bus knows that the behavior of the students is directly related to the proficiency of the driver. A driver would not continue down the road with students behaving badly like the ones in the video. Also, the camera does not stop the students from misbehaving, it is only there to POSSIBLY capture and confirm their bad behavior for disciplinary action.

The bus cameras only deter malbehavior for a few days before most ignore being recorded. Keep in mind this archived video is just that - an archived video. Also keep in mind that stopping violence on the school buses is everyone's responsibility, not just the bus driver's.
