  • Good video. Wish I had been able to see more of 'fog when he ran. What music is playing?

  • Awwm R.I.P Foggy, i had to put my mom's horse down 2 days ago from cancer too :S Horrible disease, she looked really bad at her end...

  • Oh my gosh, I can't stop crying, every time I watch videos of this horse's accomplishments. One of my all-time favorite racehorses.

    R.I.P. babe ;(

  • nice video1 but i dident know he died in 2006 thats so sad he was such a good horse i love him so much he will stay in my heart forever!

    R.I.P LOST IN THE FOG!

  • AGREED. :)

  • well duh. oh course they love to run. cos if they dont run, then they got sold or slaughtered. its a case of doing it or dying.

  • Beautiful, nice work!

  • If a horse has a job, it its breed to do it, stoping that horse from doing it is cruel. A race horse is breed to run, and they love doing it, like a qh breed to work cattle, their happy when they have a puropse, freedom isn't all its cracked up to be. i've seen horsethat were aloud to run free, that were broke to ride, wait at the gate saying ride me, i need a purpose.

  • They run with pride. They run with dignity. They run for the pure joy of running. Nobody got on that horse and sayed wether you like it or not you are runing. No people, got on him and he told them he was ready to run.

  • horses go their own ways its their choice he really didn't have to run it was his choice and he did it with pride

  • poor horse he was super good but horses make their own chocies simply because they can and they do they run prouldly till they cant run no more its there choice they die proud and live proud he didnt have to run it was his choice and he did it greatly!

  • RIP big guy you did Northern California proud...you will always be a champion

  • Lost in the Fog was an amazing horse...and let me tell you, I speak from experience when I say, if a horse doesn't want to run, he's not going to. ANY racehorse will run till he can't run anymore simply because he can. It's the joy of running, and nothing else that drives them on...you can't breed heart, it's been proven time and time again, but Lost in the Fog had more heart than most people I know.

  • "if he was free he would be having a happier life" is a fish happy if it's swimming? is a bird happy when it's singing? Is a golden retriver happy when it's taking a flying leap into the pond to retrieve whatever was thrown for him? you bet they are & these horses are having the *happiest life* they could possibly live when they're doing what they are meant to do & that's race! It's the same as a bird flying it's what they're meant to do.

  • u missed a horse phar lap. he may not have died of cancer but he did die in his best years of winning almost every race he was in.

  • He must have been a strong horse, to win races with cnacer raging his body, why must all race horses die in their Prime...Barbaro, Ruffian, Lost in the Fog, whose next?

  • o but dont get me wrong folks, ive loved foggy since day one, champion he was, and champion he always will be.

  • geese wat the heck is everyone fighting over, foggy is probly the top sprinter in the past hundred years. i dont think he could of stood up to the likes of pharlap, diva, or barbaro, let alone, secratariat, citation, seabiscuit, war admiral, affirmed, and americas triple crown winners, he was a sprinter not saying he possibly could of taken on longer distances but who knows? ha! and the biggest thing out of europe these days is mycdynamo, and look where his dam and sire came from! usa!

  • sorry i got mixed up with them but that horse is strong he should be 4 after pharlap and diva and barbro

  • you mean Barbaro? noone know anything about racing

  • Once a champion...always a champ..Man do i love this horse...may he RIP

  • Ok first off he is fast but look at him he is skin and bones and if he was free he would be having a happier life
