@nmiss666 I'm with you. The song came out in 1971. You might want to change things up just a tad, after 41 years of playing the song!

Damn! No bands like Alice anymore. It's all Justin Beiber, Madonna, and rap. We're doomed!

@wonkeaux I don't think they made it "more metal" because of that but.. after 20 years you may be bored of playing a some the same way.. don't you think?

It's different to the original recording. I think it's still awesome. It's slightly mordernised and that's good. They fitted it for the musicians who play this. Playing live is a great opportunity to slightly change things and try to make them still sound somewhat like the original. No one would want to hear that recorded as a studio version, but for a live event it's totally okay to change stuff. And over all to sound different. It I want to listen to the original, I crank up the tune :)

Can anyone work out what Alice says about ryan roxie? It's indechipherable to me. Something about 1977.

Ryan Roxie and Eric Singer?---way cool

you're right. sounds like stiff or something, not as fluid as Dunaway....It's good, but not as good as the album..

Always thought this was one of Alice's best, never thought I would see it live. Too bad about the lag halfway through.
the bassline here does not groove like the original version, too spare, no need to modernise things to make them more metal, it was metal then it's metal now.
