Two Helensville Passenger Trains (& Bad Track) at Waitakere

Sunday 27th November 2011 saw numerous special trains run from Helensville, Waitakere, Swanson or Henderson, into Auckland for the annual Auckland Santa Parade, for Christmas 2011. Four of these trains operated from Helensville, and here we see the first Down Helensville service (powered by DCP 4945) bouncing along the track into Waitakere, while an Up Helensville service (powered by DC 4916) waits in the loop to depart.

@CaptYanknBank - About 40 and 20 on the morning services, and about 50 and 30 on the evening services. Also about 16 back on the return evening service, just going along for the ride.

Very bouncy. You should see what they did to the standard gauge northeast main line in Victoria, Australia. They replaced the wooden sleepers with concrete ones, but they didn't do it properly and now the track is very rough in some sections.
