Metallic eyes are a dramatic and glamourous evening look for summer. Here I show you how to work metallic gold eye shadow to best dramatic advantage, applying the product damp and introducing a smoky bronze shade to add detail and depth. You can apply this technique to any tone of metallic eye shadow including loose metallic powder pigments (as long as they are reasonable quality). Building a simple face of lightly sculpted cheeks, a wash of bronzer and a pretty, neutral mouth keeps the look feeling contemporary and current. Hope you enjoy watching and manage to pick up a few tips! X

  • Do you think Urban Decay's Half Baked is metallic enough for this look? This look is gorgeous by the way, thank you!

  • @Fierceness14 Thanks....try it with a slightly damp brush as this will intensify the metallic-ness and it should be perfect x

  • very nice on blue eyes :)

  • @kowalabear100 yes would be amazing! x

  • Hi Lisa:)

Very nice dramatic GOLDEN look! Thanks for sharing with us the products you use. It´s really useful. I have this Clarins Gold Leaf mono couleur for some time (the one you show as an alternative shadow), and I never really took the best of it. And know I know what to do with it:) I have a kind of a green (with some hazel right in the middle) colour eyes, and I think this look would seem nice on such eyes...

Thank you so very much. UR the best artist!

    Greetings from Portuhal xxxxxxx

  • @silvunich it would be very beautiful on your eyes and would accentuate the golden/hazel in the centre x

  • this look is great! love the gold shadow.

  • I love to listen to her voice! Thanks so much for the budget options, too :)

  • Can damping your brush and eyeshadow be used as a base?

  • gold and bronze eyeshadows dont look as good on her bc she is so pale. this look is more suited to tanner and warmer skin tones
