Jennifer OHop -Pittston Area

For as long as my mothers been telling me, I have been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil. From what I have seen, my drawings were always based off of a cartoon or pictures from story books. I didnt become an independent artist until I was about 13 years of age. This is when I was able to develop my own style of drawing. I have improved over the past five years, and now I am working with human anatomy. I love the variety of the human nature. Theres a never ending choice when working with a person. At this moment Im trying to be independent as much as possible. I really want to create something that expresses my inner self, and not that of anothers idea. There are a few modern artists who I look up to, and admire for their work. I admire them most for having their own opinions and creative thoughts worked into their pieces. This is my goal in life. To be an artist that can influence others to be original.

My school years have really helped me improve my skills. I will continue with any sort of art classes after graduation, and hope to get into a private or state college in the very near future. My heart is set on design when I apply for college courses. I would also like to get into animation as well. I enjoy cartoons, and I think I would have fun getting into that sort of career. For now I must be just an average senior student in high school. I enjoy a vast variety of music, hanging out with my close friends on weekends, browsing on the internet, and spending my spare time drawing. I just cant wait to move on to the thing we call life, and have fun creating original art for the world to see, even if it will be a popular cartoon character on a childs toothbrush.
